Born in Hong Kong and currently living in Vancouver, Iris is a life-long creative with a passion for creating wearable and functional objects, a passion which led her into the world of metalsmithing. She has a Diploma in Jewellery Art and Design, and a BA in Art History. Before delving into jewelry full-time, she did a stint in sustainable architecture and construction.

Her pieces are symbolic in nature and often draw from cultural narratives, interpersonal relationships, and her own childhood memories. She is inspired by the sentimentality and personal nature of jewelry and is happiest when she’s knee-deep researching and designing new pieces and learning ancient, highly technical techniques.

Sustainability and ethical practices are paramount to her and she strives to create meaningful pieces of jewelry with equity, community, and the environment in mind.
